Molly Piper was born in 1970. She currently lives in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and attended Gateway Arts from 1995-2021.
Over the years Piper has developed a strong artistic voice that addresses social and political events with a touch of humor and an obvious desire to understand. For Piper, understanding the specifics of events is difficult. While working in collage or sculpture, Piper gives her subjects anonymity; who these people are is a mystery to her. Piper’s many interests provide the content of her work. Piper has written several short stories that have been published at Gateway Arts, including True Crime, A Story About Andrea Yates, Timothy McVeigh, OJ Simpson, and Jean-Benet Ramsey.
Piper’s work has been exhibited throughout Massachusetts at the Gateway Gallery in Brookline, Барни, Нью-Йорк in Chestnut Hill and Boston, and the deCordova Museum in Lincoln.
