命より大きい

The Gateway Gallery is proud to present Larger Than Life.  This four week exhibition features artworks whose scale make a sizable impact on their viewer.  In selecting the artwork, Artistic Director Stephen DeFronzo focused on “thinking BIG.”

“The majority of artwork made at Gateway is smaller scale, as artists work quickly through their ideas,” shares Marketing Specialist Justine Portmann. “To see the gallery walls dominated by large and striking pieces felt different.  The space is intimate, so the larger format pieces create a juxtaposition for the viewer.”

The Larger Than Life premiere coincides with the 31st annual Brookline Open Studios on April 29. Brookline Open Studios is an artist-run, non-profit arts organization that encourages interaction and creative exchange between artists and offers the community opportunities to experience a range of vibrant and creative works of art.  With the studios open to the public DeFronzo met with hundreds of friends, family, supporters, and locals to show artists’ work and describe how the メインスタジオ と スタジオA operate throughout the week.
