Patrick Shea was born in 1977 in Boston Massachusetts and has been attending Gateway Arts since 2015.

Shea spent 35 years living in Winthrop, where he was active in sports and Boy Scouts.  Art was an important part of Shea’s childhood as well, as he thrived in his art classes and enjoyed visiting museums with his parents.  Much of Shea’s work, across various media, is inspired by a love of big cities and skyscrapers that dates to trips he took as a child.  His paintings, embroideries, and sculptures sometimes depict real landmarks and other times, fictional cities of his own imagining.

Shea’s work has been exhibited at the Gateway Arts Gallery and at C&J Katz Studios.
