Christos “CB” Brokalakis was born on the island of Crete in Greece, and moved to the U.S. when he was four years old.
Currently living in Framingham, CB began attending Gateway Arts in 2020. CB began an extensive drawing practice in high school. Often working precisely and methodically on paper, CB’s preferred materials are mechanical pencils shading pencils, a eraser bar, and a light table or box. He also enjoys sculpting with clay, and is interested in exploring watercolor and other painting techniques. CB has taken art, animation, and digital design courses at The Danforth Art Museum in his hometown, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts in Foxborough. CB cites video games, movies, cartoon animation, comic or graphic novels, manga or anime adaptations, past historical events, and “psychedelic stuff” as his artistic inspiration.
One of CB’s drawings was featured on his high school’s yearbook in 2016. His work is available in The Gateway Store.
