Emily Hansen

Emily Hansen started working at Gateway Arts in 2023.

Originally from Oregon, Emily Hansen moved to Massachusetts in 2021. Working primarily in colored pencil and gelatos (water-soluble pigment sticks), Hansen draws much of her inspiration from music. She listens to primarily electronic music while she works, translating the beats and lyrics into intricately patterned, abstract drawings. She is also involved in a variety of other creative pursuits, including knitting, baking, and cooking.

Hansen’s work is shown in the Gateway Arts Store and Gallery.
